Bell’s of Hope began as a close-knit group of friends who were moved by the struggles of families in our own city—families going without food not because there isn’t enough, but because the rising cost of living has made essentials unaffordable. We reached out to local businesses and markets, asking for their surplus food—still good, still fresh, but nearing expiration. To our surprise, they said yes. From those simple conversations, a movement was born. Today, we rescue food, reduce waste, and restore dignity. Our goal is simple: make sure no one in the City of Bell goes hungry.
To alleviate food insecurity driven by rising living costs and stagnant wages in our city by rescuing surplus, wholesome foods and giving them free of charge to families in need—transforming excess into hope, one meal at a time.
We envision a community where economic pressures no longer dictate who goes to bed hungry, surplus food is never wasted, and every family has reliable access to nutritious meals—fostering dignity, resilience, and shared prosperity for all.
Everyone is welcome—no ID, proof of income, or paperwork required. If you need food, we’re here for you.
At Bell’s of Hope, our volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission. Every box packed, every meal handed out, and every smile shared brings hope where it’s needed most.
We depend on support from people like you to feed families and fight waste.
If your pantry, store, or warehouse has extra—don’t let it go to waste. Join us in turning everyday items into meals that matter. Contact us to schedule a drop-off or pickup.
